When I was little, we used to have Sainsburys Red Label tea. My tea journey started when I was a kid because like almost all English children I would drink tea even at a young age, and I remember trying my first milky coffee at eight but this was something I hated. So it was tea for me all the way. My mum never drank coffee although my dad and sister do.
We went from Sainsburys to PG Tips and then finally settling onto Yorkshire Tea which we still drink as a family. I have such a nostalgic love for tea and would never turn a cup down if I was offered one. My grandmother always bought loose tea and went the whole way of warming the pot first, pouring it into little dainty cups and saucers (she was appalled at anyone drinking from a mug) having a small jug of milk on the table with a bowl of cubed sugar with the tongs. Her mother had done all of this before her and she loved to continue the ritual. She didn't like coffee either but had it in case anyone would prefer it.
