Would You Like A Hot Cup Of Tea On This Winter Night?

[big][c=BF0080][c=800055] Have even more flavors in the pantry. Discount shopping and I stocked up. We like teas here in this house. [/c][/c][/big]
I wish I liked tea that much, and I like chai tea but I don't ever buy tea. I kind of mess up the healthy part of it by adding stevia so there's no point for me.

@LadyGrace stevia is the best sweetener for me as long as it doesn’t have erythritol in and It doesn’t take much.
@cherokeepatti yeah but I go overboard with it. I just can't seem to break the habit, try as I may.
i'm having vodka while watching hockey game...maybe tea tomorrow at 3pm
I have a cupboard full. I drink it all winter. Even more so this winter. Loose leaf is best. Timed though. Then tea bags. I am a tea lady. I prefer milk.

@PoetryNEmotion I need to start back on gunpowder green tea. It’s easy to decaffeinate so I don’t get dehydrated when I drink 2-3 cups a day. I usually make it with cardamom seeds crushed & add lemon juice to it and sweeten with stevia.
@cherokeepatti I like it. I think you have t to limit how many cups a day.

I’m actually making some for myself and I just saw this!! Which tea are you drinking?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@G0ddess decaf Earl Grey since it’s after midnight already.
G0ddess · F
@cherokeepatti ooooh I forgot about the decaf part!! do you go to bed late normally? Cuz Idk how I fall asleep so easily even with caffeine as i stay up to study and often make multiple cups lol
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@G0ddess Yeah some days I do. The boy is out of school and staying up late too. I can sleep in tomorrow if I want.
Northerner · 70-79, M
I like to try different flavours of tea.One of my favourites is Cherry and Cinnamon.😁
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Northerner never heard of that combo, where do you get it and what is the brand ?
Northerner · 70-79, M
@cherokeepattiThe brand is Twinings
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Northerner I looked on Amazon and saw a tea that is sour cherry. Got really excited and thought I would get one but then saw it has hibiscus in it and that sets my urinary tract on fire for some reason. So disappointing.

Mint tea is my favorite, but I love your tea pantry. How comforting to have so many selections! ✨🌸💚
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@MoonlightLullaby I have several boxes of peppermint tea. It’s good to put one in green tea for flavor sometimes.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
As a Brit. tea is life 😀 !
Nice to have a range of things you can pick and choose from.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Picklebobble2 I lucked out at the discount stores with various types of black, herbal, green and medicinal teas. Good way to try them out and stock up on them too. Paid anywhere from $2 to 50 cents a box for those. Giving the boy Rooibos tea to help build more white blood cells since the flu and strep throat is going around now.

I have had English Breakfast and Irish Breakfast. I would love to try some of that Scottish Breakfast!
Musicman · 61-69, M
Yes please! That would be lovely. 😊😊😊

TheRascallyOne · 31-35, M
Yes please 🐰
HotPizza71 · 51-55, M
Just plain old English breakfast for me
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@HotPizza71 I have that one too.
Any hot cocoa or hot cider?
@cherokeepatti I remember when powdered milk was still dirt cheap we'd make our own hot cocoa mix by the five quart ice cream bucket full, but have you priced that stuff lately? 😲😬😶
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@NativePortlander1970 yeah the prices jumped when Preppers started stocking up on it. We too made a cocoa mix from powdered milk when I was in grade school. I like to make my own cocoa from scratch…a bit of melted butter, sweetener, cocoa and a tiny bit of salt…mix a bit of milk and get it bubbling and add milk till it’s the right strength.
@cherokeepatti The stovetop method from the old rectangular metal pop top Hershey's can was the best.
