Does anybody else drink excessive amounts of black tea? [I Like Tea]

Maybe that's the source of my problems and I should drink more water instead. ☹️ Black tea has been the main source of fluid for me since childhood. Sometimes I switch to herbal tea but often it's all I drink all day and I drink a lot. It's hard to change this habit.

i heard a story about a guy who used to drink a gallon of black tea every day. it caused his kidneys to fail. i guess excessive amounts of black tea is bad for the kidneys

@Penny Were they sure the tea was responsible for the kidney failure? My kidneys were not good since I was born if it was true about black tea at least one of them would be gone by now. I haven't had any obvious problems with them ever since they smashed the stone when I was 12 or 13. On the other hand, I haven't had any thorough exam since then either.
