It is already strawberry season in southern England.
I have been buying local-grown ones for nearly two weeks.

I like them at room temperature with some extra thick cream; sometimes add meringue.

I like them warm off the vine. I've made jams before too. I love their natural sweetness.

I put them in shortcake. Delicious

In crepes with whipped cream

On a warm waffle covered with whipped cream.

Lemon ice cream

A couple of years ago some fuckwit was putting needles and pins in the strawberries. Strawberries were banned for a time and I have since lost my taste for them.

Sliced with some sugar on top of ice cream. But that’s too much sometimes, so generally just sliced

I believe that chucking them at people would be most beneficial to me.
