So if you were to provide performance assessment and you know a person is a low performer, would you be kind and give good feedback or be fair

To everyone else who perform better and give an honest bad feedback?

I would try to be kind and give constructive feedback. I wouldn’t lie to them, but I would offer it with the encouragement that I felt they could make some improvements, and would offer to help.
