Watching Suits

Watching Suits. It is cool how I used to watch it back then before I moved to Canada and thought to myself the streets of New York looked nice, but it was actually shot downtown Toronto.

Just saw a scene, and I would have never guessed, except that now I could recognize it as I could see my employer’s building and on the other side my previous condo where I used to live.

I watched suits the first time in 2020 when I was working on my immigration and also studying for the last exam. I got so hooked on it, I’d fight myself to stop watching and study. Sometimes I like to watch these shows that remind me those years that feel like another era because of how different they are from my current life

I started watching it couple weeks ago. Just finished season one. Noticed Second cup in few background scenes and recognized some buildings.

@TheSirfurryanimalWales tbh i didn’t like her acting or her scenes with Mike much. They are such a touchy feely couple in a cliche way, i am like yuck. I tend to fast forward all her scenes with him! I don’t think she left that early in the show anyway. I think it was literally only the last few episodes if i remember correctly

It’s one of those shows I missed the first time it aired. I’m going to binge-watch it and get caught up because there’s a new series, Suits LA.

There are tons of shows/movies set in NY that are shot in Toronto. They just park some yellow cabs on the street and throw a bunch of garbage on the ground. Short Circuit 2 did a piss poor job of hiding the fact it was shot there. One shot even has a TTC streetcar roll through lol.

@BittersweetPotato I even heard an anecdote about one time that a film crew spent the morning fillming and while they were on lunch break some locals passed trough and cleaned up all the litter not knowing it was a film set.
