How is there no concern over Chinese brokerages operating in the US, that would have access to more sensitive information than Tiktok!??

I almost funded an account with a brokerage company “founded in the US”, only to discover the parent of that company is Chinese! And people talk about that brokerage company online as if it is American which is highly misleading and I bet they do it on purpose.

Although offers highly competitive rates, in Canada, especially (in the US there are many options) I wonder if it is worth risking savings if anything happens politically, who knows..

The fact they only target one specific company and not the entire practice of gathering data and spreading propaganda, shows it's not about that. Maybe it's because TikTok users banded together to crash the stock market once, and keep pointing out the flaws of capitalism?

@deathfairy They definitely care about pushing their narratives abroad, especially in time of elections. That's TikTok's true purpose. Look at the last Romanian election
