From a year back
My phone brings me back memories from a year back...
Man was I over stressed ... The fact that I ate at McDonald's just goes to show how stressed I was.
I remember thinking to myself fast-food in Canada is way more disgusting than what I am used to (fact. It doesn't taste as good and is more oily)
I remember getting an email from my employer exactly the next morning after i landed here asking me whether I arrived (by pure chance). I was lucky they didn't follow up on my flight until I was here! Since I couldn't rush it and I flew two weeks after I got the offer.
But surely contact filled me with anticipation and atress.. Then I went to buy a phone number and booked an appointment to open my bank account.. and started thinking of a place to stay.
I have to say, as much as I was looking forward to this move, that first month was miserable and stressful as hell. I do not wish one bit to go back to those.. Merely going out on the streets was a chore...
Today I go to a concert.. Such a difference from a year back 🥔😚
