Some people have no shame? And are just after their interests and don't care if it shows or not?

That woman from my ex employer, whom I didn't have a good relationship with, gossiped about me a ton, and totally tried to ruin my life anyway possible (but didn't have power so meh) now sends me a message out of the blue on linked in saying her daughter finished studies in Canada and so please help her to find a job, and hear back from you soon, and here is my number talk to me.. Wtf??? Are we best friends and I don't know? Like id be embarrassed to send such a message to someone i know well, how could she send it to someone she didn't even have a relationship with, or rather, had unpleasent interactions. I wouldn't even want her to have my number here in Canada or to know any news about me or open channels for any interactions, she gossips ALL THE TIME with the worst people

Would you consider calling her, and asking her questions like, "What about the time you said this about me?", "What about the time you did this?", etc., and find out what she had to say for herself?

@DrWatson Nah I wouldn't do that. I didn't bother confeonting those gossiping behind my back to bother now. Unless someone actually came up front and said something to me, I would totally ignore them like they didn't exist. I think it is nice to show that I read the message and no answer. Just ignore.
