So many hazards for a potato like me
So many hazards on the roads of Canada that can easily get a foolish potato like me killed one way or another 🥴🥔
Like when I am crossing the street, I literally wait for people to cross, so that I can cross with them 🤦♀️ Today I was standing waiting for the "walk signal", and when it showed up, I almost walked until I realised the guy next to me is still standing (he was probably not focused) I looked at him as in; aren't you going to cross or something so that I can cross? 🤔 Well, if I am going to die crossing the street, I am NOT dying alone! I am taking everyone down with me!! O.o
Why do I do that? Well, because I was surprised there are still cars that can come from the side EVEN WHEN the walk signal is on 🤷♀️ Only today I started realising that I should pay attention to cars signals because they CAN still come my way while I am crossing. Before, I used to walk with such confidence thinking not a single car can get in, probably drivers thought I was such an idiot walking like this 🤷♀️.
That's aside from the two way streets that scare the hell outta me, I mean, if you see me at one of those streets, you would probably laugh your as* off, at the way i turn my head almost 360 degrees like an owl!
And, there are also those streets that don't have signals at all and I guess the priority is for pedestrians but I am often still scared to cross when I see a car coming my way, until the driver keeps waving, almost swearing that they are not going to run me over and that I should cross the street!! O.o
But if you think crossing the street is dangerous, then walking in the park is even more dangerous 🥴🥔
Today I was walking with such enthusiasm, with my headphones on, enjoying loud music and the beautiful views, until I encountered a sign reading; attention; coyotes have been reported here! I was like; whaaaaat have been reported here now? I mean they tell it with such ease. The sign says if you see one, don't give it your back and run, but rather stand, wave and shout at it, and make yourself look big. Apparently they get scared. But then I am such a tiny potato 🥴🥔 I really cannot imagine myself standing there, waving at a coyote like an old friend or something.
I was too freaked out. I took off my headphones to hear my surroundings and started walking too fast while my heart was pounding too loudly, that I almost couldn't hear my surroundings O.o Everyone was walking by the sigh just fine though 🤷♀️ I probably overreacted because it was morning, and they probably won't be out in the light, but in my head I was like; seriously, I feel like I will just get hit by a car or eaten by a coyote O.o
