Freaked The Crap Out of Me
I had a colonoscopy last Thursday. The doctor removed a "benign" polyp, and sent a sample to the lab. I saw the photo, and I could not even tell what it was that was wrong. It just looked like a little fold or wrinkle, same color as the tissue around it. No redness, hanging stalk, bulb, etc.
Then this morning I got a voice mail on my phone. I keep it on do not disturb so did not notice it until lunch.
I started freaking out. Why on Earth would the gastro office call me? Did they find cancer? I got no text.
I was in a crowded cafeteria so put the sound on low and anxiously listened.
They were just calling about how I was feeling, and if I had any questions, and that tests results, when they came in, would be sent to my account on their web portal.
I wanted to curse and throw my phone across the room. Why the heck would they do such a thing? Scared the crap out of me. Ruined my lunch break.

At least these meatballs are good. And any budding polyps 🐙 will be happy. 🤪
