Do you consider Morning to be "the period of time between midnight and noon, especially from sunrise to noon?"

A friend of mine text me at 00:01 last night. The text read: good morning. I told her it isn't morning. She replied yes it is , the period after midnight is morning. I looked it up and technically she is right.

It’s a good question. I always wonder this when I hear weather reports of “early morning rain” does that mean after sunrise or after midnight?

00:01 is the middle of the night. Using the word 'technically' doesn't make a wrong statement any more correct.
