Quiet Morning
My dog woke me before daylight, so I went ahead and made coffee. The world is so quiet, even the early birds are still asleep. Mornings… what a concept.

I woke up a 5 am to a dark home, but that was quickly corrected. Finding the coffee pot ready with hot coffee, I poured a cup and headed outside to fill the bird feeders and feed the koi. It was a dim morning with fog rolling in from the south. Turning on the porch light, I could see a heavy dew had the grass sparkling wet and I smiled watching the dog stepping high as she followed me across the lawn. I love the quiet mornings and as I enjoyed my coffee on the bench beside the koi pond, I waited and soon enjoyed the beautiful sunrise as it peeked over the trees.
