So basically I didn't want to kill any sheep this year. I used to donate a bunch.

And I wasn't going to donate that way because I am tired of the rituals.
But today , again, I did find people who needed the charity desperately.
Not having access to meat at all.
And jealous, envious of those who can celebrate Eid.
I have a freezing room where I store my yearly food, espacially meat.
I am emptying it instead of killing animals to feed them.
And I am thinking to fast from red meat. Not that I have more than two pieces a month anyways. Red meat makes me not want to eat.
As to my deficiencies there will be 💉
I have tried my best gaining weight. I am not going to bother with that anymore. Just work out and whatever happens happens.
I am good enough and I am too old to give an eff.

Working out , if you’re using weights, can help you put on weight, lots of it buuut you need to consume protein and eat on calorie surplus. Which I know can be hard for some individuals.
Nothing crazy, just maybe 200-300 calories more.

I know someone close to me who was really skinny once they started lifting weights they increased their body mass. But he’s a man so, higher testosterone makes it easier for them.

I have medical condition that makes it challenging for that to work beyond few kg gain. It is not that I don't know what I am doing or that I am not doing right, it is my physical limitations. I have done this before many many times. Also, my specialty is obstetrics and emergency medicine but I am not exactly unaware of how to build muscles 😆 you are making me sound like an idiot. I assure you I am not one.

It is not really about coeliac disease. But if we were to address that, for many people the stage isn't just malabsorption, it is lack of it..including protein absorption. When you tell them to eat more, you're missing the entire pathology :)

Protein recommendations are averages, not universal laws anyways. It is a common misunderstanding to think it applies on everyone . That's to say 6–2.2 g per kg is a common evidence based range for maximizing hypertrophy in many people, but some do fine with less, while others can't even with optimal intake. Because human bodies aren't identical and biology is much more messy than do this, you get that.

I very much like where I am mentally these couple of days looking at my own shell. I have done enough and the right things for me and sometimes you gotta stop and celebrate that. 💃🏻
