sure... but you wanna know the real issue here ?

if you can make beef or pork.... nothing is gonna stop you from making human meat.
and would that be illegal to eat ? its just protein meshed together after all... noone is hurt.
@SisterShadow interesting question! This actually already sort of happens. Lab workers have been able to create small strings of heart tissue from skin cells and this is used to test treatments for genetic diseases.

It's going to take a while before they can create entire muscles and other organs, but that is being chased to eliminate the need for organ donations.

I think the law needs to be updated either way when we get to that point, to make consumption legal or illegal. But as no human needs to be killed for it then, I don't see any major ethical objections myself. Safety could be a potential issue, but that's up to medical professionals to judge.

@SisterShadow @NerdyPotato A fascinating Q from Sistah and equally-fascinating reply from 🥔. Are both of you familiar with the iconic 1982 movie Blade Runner? If so, you probably know the scene with (now 95 year old 👏👏👏) James Hong as the doctor growing 👁‍🗨 etc for Tyrell.
@mayguy I'm not familiar with that movie or scene, but thanks for your compliment on my reply!

@NerdyPotato wow, I didn't know
@Wiseacre it's a very interesting technique. Some of my own skin cells are even happily beating as heart tissue in a lab somewhere.

@NerdyPotato skin cells..u mean dead skin?
@Wiseacre not dead, but there was no cutting or any kind of pain involved either. They retrieved them from a cup of urine.
