None.
They built one a few years ago and it soon disappeared due to local boycott.
The premises were converted to a health foods take-away and has been successful ever since.
@hartfire I knew this couldn’t be in the U.S. 😅
@bijouxbroussard You know me well enough.
Our area has lots of alternative lifestylers,
old and newer generations who love health and a green environment.

I never worked out which part of the States you were living in Bijoux.
I fancy maybe New Orleans with it's French connections.
@hartfire My parents are originally from New Orleans, and I’ve visited family there often. But I was born & raised in San Francisco, CA. 😊
@bijouxbroussard I've always liked the sound of California - such variety, great unis and culture, and such a source of alternative and liberal movements.
The San Andreas Fault scares me. I assume they have special building codes to help prevent the worst damage - but even so...
@hartfire Yes. And my relatives in the South ask about that. But in all my life, (knock wood) I’ve only experienced one serious earthquake where there was great damage in the area. My family in NOLA experience floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, just about every year.
@bijouxbroussard Oh yes! Climate change is affecting every area now.
Such tragedies in those floods.
I hear Louisiana is being affected by sea level rise, and many of the poorest people live in the lowest lying areas.
I keep hoping to hear that the local and fed govts might help people who need to relocate.

Here, similar things are happening. We had the worst floods on record in our area last Feb, and in the last few months down on the border between NSW and Victoria.
The govts are offering help, but only to about a third of the worst affected people, and not giving them much choice.
In the meantime, we heard for the 1st time on the news last night that the Aust Fed govt has been secretly selling armaments overseas! Worse, we've been selling them to countries lake Saudi Arabia and UAE, boosting the humanitarian atrocities in Yemen! I feel so appalled, dismayed, ashamed and powerless.
I will definitely be a part of the public protest.
