Why is the McDonald's ice cream machine always broken?

There are several YouTube videos explaining this theory.

Apparently it's a poor design that requires several hours of automated cleaning everyday during which you can't use the machine.

Also McDonald's signed a contract which stopped them from changing the machine manufacturers.

Because they do not want to run the ice cream through it and have to clean it later.

Because it's made in Tennessee
