You ever had to train someone that's getting paid more than you?

Like a manager or a site lead or whatever
That stopped when I told the guy...” training a superior as a subordinate is above my pay grade. Good luck learning my job which you just got, by ass kissing!”

Then I added insult to injury and deleted the files regarding all the work I’d done that he could have sat back and used in his new found position.

I'm teaching all our engineers how to code. Pretty sure they all make 20% more than me.

@Rokasu Everything in corporate is a joke

@SW-User Couldn't agree more. Would rather be in academics or something but even that has corporate values. There's just no escape if you want stability in your life. Can go solo but that's a huge risk.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
Yes. In general, the more the leaders know about what their subordinates are doing the better off everyone will be.
SW-User
@Heartlander So, you trying the people higher up than you
lol yeah. i had to train a newly graduate in my department and i found out that he'll be my supervisor. he was a bit arrogant and acted really bossy towards me like implying that im just under him and he's paid by the company not like me who's only a tempo. I'm waayyy older than him tho. and they hired him for that position bec he graduated with high honors. he's one of the reason i resigned.hahah

@Greyscale Point him out when I'm in the Philippines so I can kick his ass
@SW-User glad idk where on earth he is now
SW-User
@Greyscale Hopefully he got fired

We have trained 3 managers in the space of a year at my work. No reflection in our pay.
Been doing this almost my entire career

People get amazed about what I do and want to know more

Training them improves me

It's happened before but I've not stayed at a job long enough for it to bother me.

@Gillian It has it's quirks

As senior enlisted in the military we always train junior officers.
@Pfuzylogic Noncoms...backbone of the US Military.
You are gorgeous. Just thought I would compliment you
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
Sadly yes. It sucks when I worked more but was paid less once.
summersong · F
I’m doing so now and it is so frustrating.
SW-User
@summersong I did the same today too hahaha

I quite a job doing floor crew because they were having me train my new boss without paying me extra or giving a raise. Then the cocksuckers had the nerve to give me a bad recommendation at my next job because of it.

Their excuse as to why one of us couldn't be promoted was that they require a degree for all managerial positions. We were fucking janitors who mop floors, clean toilets, and pull used tampons out of a box next to the women's toilet FFS. Imma go out on a limb and say anyone with a degree that needs that job is as bottom barrel as it gets and truly useless as a worker.

@MethDozer Who's the people I need to kill. I'm bored and a little excitement is necessary
MethDozer · M
@SW-User That's so romantic but unnecessary. Living well is the best revenge.
