I'm going to a friend's child's birthday party

They want to buy him a VR Headset. Like, the dude is 6. I guess my husband showed him his and now the kid has been asking for one.

My husband's was like $500 and I don't want them spending that on a 6 year old kid that would probably not even play it much.

I did find one for $40 and $150.

Do you think the child would know the difference?

As a rule for kids I do the following
Family: upto £50 unless it is a special birthday
Close friends £20-25
Other kids £10-15

@InOtterWords No, the kids parents want to buy it for their kid. They just asked me about it to help them find one.

I think it's way too expensive and a waste for a 6 year old
