I stopped trusting the English language

when my teacher said "Give her her pen" was correct yet "Give him him pen" was incorrect

It is funny that the possessive of the pronoun “her” is also “her” while the possessive form of the pronoun “him” is “his”.
On the other hand, in English only people require gender pronouns whereas in other languages every item is “he” or “she”.
