@WowwGirl our long driveway on the farm had small river rocks on it instead of sharp gravel. We went barefoot in the summer and remember how those stones felt. Moved to Oklahoma and had sharp white gravel on the driveway, had to wear shoes. In Missouri our farm also had a spring-fed creek. After it rained it got a little muddy in one of the shallow parts on the side of the creek. After the mud dried up it curled up. I loved walking over the dry mud curls and crunching them with my feet.
