Melted Ice Cream Bar, Anybody?

My freezer failed yesterday and my landlord fixed it (the machinery inside was coated ice!).

Yet now I have a box full of partially melted ice cream bars inside their waterproof wrappers. They are like little bags of chunky milkshake.

But I am going to let them refreeze and see if I can still eat whatever is there.

I had one. Most of it was still in the chocolate coating. It has been two hours and I am still alive.

But my ice cube maker is still not working. The tray fills with a few cubes then some water, and the whole thing refreezes in the tray into a solid lake with ice cubes embedded.

I have been looking at YouTubes for help. I poured warm water all over it to melt any ice. I turned off the power to recycle it. Etc. We shall see.

But the freezer may not be getting cold enough again. I have some ice cube trays in it (to test it) and they seem to be taking a while to freeze.

Ugh. I may have to call it in again.

It is frustratingly hard to tell what is what since all my meat is still frozen. That is all I care about since it was not cheap. Of course I want ice, too.

Ugh.
