Spicy Salads

Assembly line prepping salads for the week; I LOVE spicy food - these are:

Heart of Romaine
Three Kinds of Peppers
Cucumber
Cherry Tomatoes
Grilled Chicken
Pickled Jalapeno Slices

Not pictured: the hottest hot sauce I can find, which is what I use instead of salad dressing.

Eh you don't mix the hot sauce with the dressing? 🤔 Seems pretty good but do the last two get wilty?

@UndeadSona I love dressing, but skip it because of the calories. Hot sauce or even sriracha delivers a lot of flavor without being so heavy. (I started off by using salsa, which was surprisingly good on salad)

I worried about them going off by the end of the week as well, but using the heart instead of the outer leaves they're still quite crispy.

@jademonkey19 ah I see, tbh I haven't been keeping track of the calories I've been taking in but I definitely have been eating too many lately

@UndeadSona I've struggled with my weight pretty much my whole life - it's only in the last few years I've settled into a good rhythm. I'm very body positive in general (it's easy for me to see other people's bodies as beautiful, but not so much my own)

More importantly, I was really not in a healthy place up until the pandemic \ deciding to transition.

@jademonkey19 I understand that, I spent a long time underweight/basically starving myself so I get into this weird thing where I kinda binge a bit if I don't really think about it because I'm used to being hungry all the time. Worse I'll get hungry at stupid times of the day and end up eating super late at night.

Honestly I need to be more careful about it

@UndeadSona for me, the dangerous spot was always the car - for years, I spent a lot of time driving for work and it was always easiest just to get fast food or stop at a restaurant. Definitely needed to train myself out of some bad habits.

@jademonkey19 yeah I still have that habit I just have to force myself to do better
