My french class
I think being anxious worsens my ability to recall french and use it.. Like I was in such a bad mood in the previous two days and felt that I was very bad at french.. Today though, I am in a better mood, not excellent but better, and the teacher was so friendly and encouraging, so I felt my level was not as bad..
Funny, the teacher turned out to be living where I live! I introduced myself and everything, so he knew where I come from and where I live.. Then during class, there was a question as to what you would do in France.. So I answered that I'd taste french cheese and wine.. The teacher followed up with are you Muslim? he caught me off guards, I was like; ummm..... long pause, then : no? As in I am asking him, is this the right answer? 🥔😂 and I always have this tone when I say something in french that I am not sure about, so I had the same tone and was waiting for him to correct me 🥔🤣
He caught me off guards because normally this is not a question that would be asked, but I guess because he lives here and knows the culture and assumed that I'd be one knowing my background, he asked ... and he was friendly and spontaneous throughout the lesson, so I guess it is probably just his personality. I didn't feel offended and felt that he was just making conversations, like many teachers would ask follow up questions to get you to talk...
But that was funny. It was probably clear from my answer that I was/am one.
