Pro tip for if your doordash order is missing an important item

If you go in and put that you were missing an item they will typically only refund the price of the item itself, not the additional taxes and delivery fee, and definitely not the tip. But if afterwards you contact DoorDash customer service via chat and say you need a refund for the taxes and delivery fee (and tip) they’ll refund you for the rest of it.

As far as getting refunded for the tip, the dasher still gets to keep what you tipped them, the refund comes out of the company’s pocket, so don’t worry about screwing over the little guy.
