Why do so many people have identity issues?

I've met a really nice friend who is amazing, we were having coffee when she told me her father is black! I asked her if she was adopted? I'm sure this young lady is fully Caucasian, she has mild add and she's very bubbly and funny! Anyway I will let her have a Rachel Dolizal moment 😊😲
