So how does grind affect the bean ?

and whether its smooth or bitter?

And yes ...im talking coffee here, not my sour disposition or chronic moodiness due to lack of sex or sex realeted practices.... or anything vaguely related to even being touched by thr opposite gender *sighs*

Hence the post about coffee nuances

Yes ...my thrills are that small now🙄

The longer you grind it, the more caffeine it will release...and the more it will pass thru the filter

I use a percolator - so I don't grind it much, it's like little rocks...
@fun4us2b I've been playing with the grind & i swear its a smoother flavour when its coarser.

But then....i think im also waaaay to caffeinated rn to be able to make any sort of definitive assessment.

I just use a pour over method.
This....i also think leads to a smoother flavour.

I used to use a mocha pot, then a plunger thingy....but i love coffee when its got that nice rounded flavour.

ive also learnt to keep the water temp down.

@OogieBoogie I like using my very old percolator - interesting about low water temperature...I do like it hot though...
