I love my coffee (no milk, no sugar) and I've been happily using a cafetiere for over 20 years. Simple job: heat the pot by swilling it out with boiling water, add your ground coffee (I usually use 2 heaped teaspoons, depending on strength) bring the kettle back to the boil and pour it over the coffee. After about 3 minutes depress the plunger and pour. The used grounds make good fertiliser.....
