Coffee maker question

Does anyone use the drip coffee filter baskets like this?

If so, do they work well?

They are okay, you need a fairly fine grind so the water goes through a bit slower so it has a chance to extract more coffee out of the grind. You have to play with the grind level also so it just doesn't turn to mud and the water doesn't go through at all.

@come2gether Okay, so if I used the recommended paper filters, it should work... given I get the grind right?

@Ontheroad It'll work for sure. Also make sure you're using very hot water, it'll cool down a fair bit by the time it's done straining through. I have used that very one while traveling.

@come2gether thanks, I drink several cups during the day, but I really don't like the taste of coffee that sits in the pot and would much prefer to make a cup as I want it.

@Ontheroad I can make another recommendation that works much better, but I have a meeting in 2 minutes

@Ontheroad I've had that one as well. It was good, but drop it and it breaks

@come2gether good point!

@Ontheroad I ended up buying a Breville Barista Touch after years of trying to make the best coffee I could make one cup at a time. Sure, you'll drop $800, but you'll enjoy it right away if you like having options for what kind of a coffee you want, one cup at a time.
