Wait a minute...
If adenosine builds up while you are awake, why would you have any adenosine in your bloodstream to "dissipate" during the first 90 minutes after you wake up in the morning?
I seems to me the sleepiness you may feel in the morning when you wake up has a different cause than the fatigue you may feel in the afternoon.

@Thinkerbell Yeah, I thought he misspoke and had an error in their too...
I don't know medical stuff at all... but I assume he was trying to say... something burns off in the first 90 minutes of being awake...
If you have caffeine during that time, caffeine binds to it, helping you wake up faster but give you a crash later.
Where if you just let it burn off right away, you won't have any crash later.
But that's an assumption.

@Viper
He does seem to have contradicted himself.
And also, you drink the coffee first thing in the morning to wake up.
Now he says to stay groggy for 90 minutes, and then have your coffee.
It seems you are trading one bout of grogginess for another. 😂
