I was the same as you. Used to put 3-4 tbspns of sugar in my tea, on my breakfast cereal, on my oatmeal, etc etc. I've done that all my life. I am now 61 and my dr tells me that I am now just over the borderline of being a diabetic. It's good that you cut down your sugar, but I would try to cut it down even more than the 3-4 teaspoons you are now using.
