Cheesy, you're wrong about old people. Some can't use the Internet because of being unable to learn how and some can't see well, so they get frustrated, but I live in a retirement community, and most of the people here have laptops and cell phones. Some have desk top PCs too. Once you're retired, you have so much time on your hands, and many of us aren't able to do as much as we once could. Internet keeps us in touch with a world we thought we were cut off from. Fewer retirees are suffering depression from feeling useless and cut off. Especially the ones who like to share thoughts and ideas.

Cheesy, I'm neither grumpy, nor rude. I think that ,when you're old, you are still who you were when you were young. I know you've met rude young people. They will be rude old people. I am willing to bet you have met lots of young people who are miserable most of the time. They will be grumpy when they get old. Those nice, cheerful, helpful young people you know, will be the same when they are old. We don't suddenly become someone else when we get old. The only thing that can make a very pleasant old person really grumpy is young people who treat us as if we must all be the same because we are old.

I promise. Not to expect rudeness or ignorance from you because you're young, if you will do me the same courtesy.

Well my step sister says when her mom first passed her dads cooking sometimes had interesting flavors lol. But he was also 24 and married at 16

the weather might be a reason to, its kinda more likely that someone will be grumpier when its damp and cold and theyre wet (no puns intended)

My favourite weather is cold damp weather. I'd get along great in Seattle's climate. It's true that some people suffer from joint pain when it's damp, but I love it.

Please stop trying to find a way to make old age a reason to dislike or disrespect people.

Just read some of the stories on here written by young people. Most of the young angry people will be just as angry when they're old. You really, seriously don't know any angry, depressed, world owes me a living type of young people? I know a lot of them. They're everywhere. Many of them hang out on corners spitting on the sidewalk, using language that would embarrass a trucker. They aren't going to get better with age.

Look in a mirror. Think of you, forty or fifty years from now. Do you figure you will be a rude, cranky, mean old man? Or do you think that you will be who you are, with grey hair and wrinkles?
