I'm a big fan of Tim Hortons, however I'm a bit disappointed of this combo. The croissant has no croissant texture at all and it's a little bit too salty. The drink is too sweet, my throat hurts.
@Turtlepower Actually, you're comparing American food quality to Canadian food quality, the latter of which you obviously have experienced yet, but you're not actually comparing Dunkin Donuts to Tim Hortons as far as Brand identification is concerned.
When Tim Horton's franchises went south from Canada to the USA, they were suddenly subjected to American food quality and immediately lost their traditional Canadian content, which means American food quality is considered sub-standard by Canadian standards. Tim Horton's in the USA is now identical to Dunkin Donuts in the USA, which means they're both using the same low food quality standard.
Starbucks coffee by the way, is made world-wide using the cheapest, poorest quality coffee beans that can be purchased by the ton at wholesale coffee auction. Starbucks purchases all the coffee beans that no other coffee bean buyer even bids on during a coffee bean crop auction. That is why Starbucks uses so much milk, cream, chocolate and sugar in their coffee offerings which are expensive to buy, but only because without all the extra stuff in their coffee, you'd have a hard time getting it down if you drank it black.
Even Dunkin Donuts uses higher quality coffee beans than Starbucks!
@swirlie You make some bold assumptions about me. Your passion to defend low end coffee places is humorous :) I've traveled quite a bit in Canada, married a Canadian, and prefer most things Canadian over most similar American things. I keep an open mind but let's not kid ourselves that any of these chains are serving much of anything that's actual quality. It's just personal preference and that's fine. I'm not sure I've even been to a Tim Hortons in the US before. Maybe once in New York City lol.
