Question about coffee shops.

Is the price you pay for a coffee reflected in the customer service that goes with it? That is, do you get treated better by staff in the more expensive coffee shops?

Also - are independent coffee shops more respectful to their customers than chains?

Doubt it - they will charge what they think the market will bear. I have had expensive coffee with average service, and cheaper coffee with excellent service

On the rare occasion that I buy coffee while out…

I’ve never had a good experience at Dunkin. I find it amazing at this airport that there is a long line at Dunkin and a few people at Starbucks.

I just get regular coffee so I don’t notice the price but the smaller shops tend to have more interactive cashiers.

Hmm
Around here i find the independent owned ones are so much friendlier. Even the customers are friendly lol 😆
We ended up having a right chin wag with a load of random people at the little coffee shop up the road lol. Good times
I dont mind paying a bit extra tbh

I drink coffee on my way to work.

Price has nothing to do with customer service.

Yes to point number 2.

What I have noticed is that if you are a regular customer , then they maintain that level of service to keep you hook onto their shop.

I use for convinience I'm always normally buying on the go too or from work or in middle of the day and need to get back etc

@KatyO83 Yes, I tend to do that ☺️

I've truly never had an issue at either one.
I have found the more upscale the coffee shops, the more rude the staff is. Even Hollywood made fun of swanky establishments in the early 90's.
