I Love Coffee And Coffee Shops

I have never understood the constant obsession with Starbucks. As i sit here in my local coffee shop I watch the constant crowd of people going into Starbucks. There is a small local shop directly across the street and I see so many people going in and getting out even though in my opinion the local shop has a lot better coffee. This phenomena has always made me wonder since so many people get coffee on a daily basis.

It's the fancy foo foo drinks, they have lousey coffee.

@jackson55 I wouldn't say it's lousy coffee. I would just say that it is a mediocre cup of coffee hyped up to be the best drink that you have ever had.

[@ I say lousey because it has always tastes burnt to me like they over roast the beens. Some Starbucks have a clover coffee maker, it makes a good cup of coffee, but it's too expensive. Too many other coffee shops that make descent coffee.

@WildernessWriterExplorer I'm not a big Starbucks fan. I don't go there unless I have to meet someone or someone takes me to one. I prefer Peets coffee, strong but not burnt.

@jackson55 That's funny because Starbucks is my goto place for when I meet someone when buying something off craigslist.

@WildernessWriterExplorer I go to a local coffee shop, not a Starbucks, to meet by bicycle group. The spandex display is much better than any Starbucks I've been to. 😉
