The person who delivered the pizza of doom was an old friend. I haven't seen him in at least fifteen years.
He brought the pizza& a Canadian accent; the latter was unexpected because we're Irish.

A friend of mine came to Canada from Scotland. He was laughing at his accent. He said that when he hears himself speak he realises that he sounds like he just got off the boat. However when he goes back to Scotland they all say he has an American accent. To my Canadian ears he sounds very Scottish.
