CountScrofula When I started reading about caring for an opossum, everything was saying they’re a lot of work because of their needs. But honestly, she’s really easy.
She’s not destructive, she uses litter boxes, she’s never been aggressive, she’s not difficult to handle indoors or outdoors.
She wakes me up waaaay less than my dogs used to (not that I minded that).
She needs supplements, a special diet, flea medication, mental stimulation and exercise, but my dogs needed all that as well.
I think if you’re someone who kinda already goes above and beyond for your pets, a possum is not going to be any more difficult, and in some areas, easier. She enjoys cuddling me, but she doesn’t seem to need my attention at all.
