Anyone want breakfast for dinner? ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ˜Š

Not the first meal I have made on this tiny stove and oven. It's even more weird than that.

The top is natural gas and the bottom oven is electric! Why? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Have to get use to turning on the stove fan. My old place I didn't need to. Here the the smoke alarm goes off at slightest detection of browning.

Geesh! I like my hash browns, browned! Not raw or burnt. ๐Ÿ˜–

In the background I'm parboiling some cauliflower to freeze.

You get more precise temperature control from an electric oven; that could be the reason.

@ElwoodBlues yeah but it browns pizza on the top and a pizza doesn't get cooked enough on the bottom! ๐Ÿ˜’

I make my own pizza!

@DeWayfarer Hmm, no way to run the bottom element only? Bummer!

@ElwoodBlues nope! The owners bought this because they had to in order to rent this place. So everything is as cheap as they could get it.

You should see the freezer. Not only used yet missing shelves and container holders on the fridge doors.

Had to talk to a social worker about that fridge. They are working on it they say.

@DeWayfarer On the pizza issue, I could imagine putting the pizza on the bottom rack of the oven, and putting a cheap steel baking sheet on an upper oven rack to protect the top of the pizza from the top element.

@ElwoodBlues yeah. That's a trick taken over from gas stoves. If it was half way big enough I would do that yet it's a half stove. So it's small as is.
