Why would anyone in the working-class pay for restaurant/fastfood breakfast? (Other than on special occasions)

I just don't understand it, it seems like murican's love to go to places like starbucks or mcdonalds and get a breakfast sandwhich. Here in sweden we just make our own breakfast.

I occasionally buy breakfast and I weigh it up as being worth the cost for the time saved, it is one less thing to worry about in the morning. I can sleep in, be with my partner, plus I don't always want to eat that early so will pick something up for when I arrive at work. But then some days I have toast or cereal or pop tarts etc
