Why would anyone in the working-class pay for restaurant/fastfood breakfast? (Other than on special occasions)

I just don't understand it, it seems like murican's love to go to places like starbucks or mcdonalds and get a breakfast sandwhich. Here in sweden we just make our own breakfast.

@MartinTheFirst a dollar or 2 dollar breakfast sandwich is way cheaper than buying eggs, bread, and protein.
Your countries generous social system makes many things very expensive , especially food and alcohol .

But you didn’t account for the time shopping, preparing, and cleaning up.

@AthrillatheHunt Honestly I think the amount of time it takes will turn out to favor the homemade stuff, you only have to drive to the store once or twice a week and for breakfast at like starbucks you're gonna have to make a detour every working day
