Did it have anything to do with a pig farm at the base of a volcano?
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M

Riverman2 · 56-60, M

MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
@Riverman2 I don't think so, but it's beautiful and relaxing.

I always thought of bacon and eggs as a farmers breakfast, so maybe sometime in the 1700s...

You know, ive never looked this up. (Resisting temptation to do so😏).
I always assumed it was a very old form of curing and storing meat - hand in hand with smoking it.
Salting food goes back to Egyptian times .
So i assumed bacon was 1000's of years old🤷♀️
