I drink socially, when I with a friend. It loosens the tongue a little, and makes the conversation last longer.

@SW-User My mother-in-law went to her grave unaware that she regularly had blackouts. None of her kids wanted to confront her about her alcoholism.

I'm glad you were able to stop.
