Do you have any rules to drinking alcohol? [I Like Alcohol]

I don't mean "I don't drink alcohol" kinda rules. I mean how you drink alcohol depending on the type(whiskey, vodka, tequila, etc), time of day, season, things like that.

Examples:
Whenever I drink straight whiskey I use one large ice cube(1" cube), two ounces, and an orange wheel.
