Umm, 🙂 why did John Harvey Kellogg invent breakfast cereal in the first place?

Kellogg was a nutcase.
Embracing all sorts of odd ideas of the age.
They made a movie about his exploits a few years ago. 'The road to Wellville' i think it was called.
