Fireworks under my window already????Whyyyyyy?

cherokeepatti ..WTF? What is the attraction to those loud and dangerous ...toys? I had a similar experience when I lived on a pond. The idiot across the pond sent rockets across to my house and one of them went right through the picture window....no one was in the room at the time. It was not my house but, the owner sued that guys ass off. Testosterone and fireworks...bad combo.My heart breaks for the animals

Fernie: I think the rocket just went astray, I know he didn't mean to land it on my roof but our houses are pretty close together when it comes to fireworks (suburbs)....I got out there and shined a flashlight all over looking at my roof, etc. so I hope he knew that I knew he did it. All the police and fire department workers that aren't at the station are working at the park where the big fireworks display is and these people know they can get by with shooting their fireworks if they do it intermittently and not constantly, they'll get out there and shoot 2 or 3 things and then stop for a while, so they keep doing it till about 2 or 3 in the morning.

I'm just glad I don't have a collie or Sheltie dog for a pet, those poor creatures are scared to death hearing firecrackers even if they are a half-mile or more away.

Fernie: our collie used to hide under the deck and just lay there and tremble. Rottweilers are another breed that has a hard time with them. I have a neighbor who is a highway patrol officer and he smoked up his barbecue grill about dark with wood (not charcoal) smoke all in my yard. He was trying to be sneaky so he could light fireworks since they are banned in this city. Shot a rocket up and it landed on the roof of my house, I couldn't sleep that night thinking he was going to set the house on fire, and it finally started raining and I went to sleep. He did that about 3 years ago.
