What are some authentic Italian dishes?

And please give the names in Italian.

In my Italian class, we have to make a menu that's based off authentic Italian food.
My Italian teacher is an asshole, and I haven't learned Italian one bit after 2 years.. so I need help.

The whole menu has to be in Italian (which makes sense).

What about pasta al pollo? It's really simple...and I guess kind of a "cliche"? But I like it.

@dianeO: well, antipasti (plural form for antipasto) means appetizers.

The "i" makes it plural.
and if it ends with an "i" the singular form will most likely end in the letter "o."
