I just asked two guys I'm chatting with and they never heard of okra.

Yes I live in Oklahoma, everyone here knows what okra is, a summer favorite.

@SimplyTracie: Yes and I've had it at someone's house in a tagine with meat and other veggies, it was surprisingly good. Also like pickled okra.
