i just ordered a tamale and it came with red sauce on it.

Doesn't that basically make it an enchilada?
where's the corn husk? 馃尳

An enchilada is more of a burrito

@Sunujing: not really. its meat or cheese in a corn tortilla, with sauce on it

But a tamale is masa and potentially puree'd corn steamed in a corn hush. My experience is enchiladas are meat cheese and usually rice in a corn or flour tortilla with tomatillo or red sauce.

Exactly! That's what im saying, my yummy tamale, with the pureed corn crust, didn't have a husk, and was covered in red sauce. It tastes like an enchilada.
It was still yummy, just never had one served like this before.

Got it, had one like that literally yesterday along with a burrito. It was delicious.

I find lots of places are using special sauces lately as opposed to leaving you to apply your own hot sauce. It is not a bad thing if done well
