I Love Food

I have condition that prevents me from going on a diet....... I get hungry. ;)

Eating an overall low calorie amount below your maintenance calorie level sets you up for failure. Instead start out with eating an overall high calorie amount, maintain it for two weeks, adjust it according to how your body responds. Slightly lower the overall calorie amount you consume. You change the amount of calories you consume slowly so that you have room to keep lowering the calories, but don’t go too low. When you’re satisfied with the amount of food you’re consuming and it satiates you, you can maintain the same amount of calories every day. It’s normal for us to want to eat more during winter and to eat less during summer. Cheat days are essential if you're trying to lose weight since your body becomes accustomed to the lower calories that you are consuming. Your body will crave more calories if you’re consuming an overall low calorie amount for days in a row. If you work out a lot, your appetite goes up. If you’re burning too many calories and going below your maintenance calorie level, your body will crave more calories. Adding cardio into your lifestyle works the same way as lowering your overall calorie amount you consume. Add cardio slowly so that you have room to keep adding more. Your body also becomes accustomed to the amount of cardio you do—that’s why you can stop losing weight doing the same cardio amount. You can plateau on your diet, weight training or strength training, and cardio so continue to change them slowly. Make small changes. Junk food is still okay to eat. I’d be miserable if I didn’t allow myself to indulge.

Worse yet, I must have hyperactive tastebuds, because I actually *like* food! :-) Most foods, anyway...
