CORN is an absolute gift from God. How come Asians prefer rice and westerners prefer wheat?

I can eat Brown rice. White rice feels like garbage in the mouth unless it is cooked in gravy. Wheat sticks in the mouth though it tastes ok.

CORN IS A WHOLE WORLD IN ITSELF, from southern cornbread to Punjabi makke ki roti.

I also find millets to be equally tasty or better but they are not available everywhere. But corn is available on most continents. I am supersized it is not the most famous.

both asians and westerners love corn. its probably not a staple in far east asia because its not a native plant i think like someone else said, but you can find corn in soup dishes and steamed cakes and stuff. Also yeah, bread is popular in the US probably because of its Christian roots where wheat and bread are mentioned in the bible but cornbread is a regular occurence generally as well as things like Jiffy corn muffins or Doritos/Tortilla chips/taco shells etc. I mean, I'd think nothing's much more American than fresh corn on the cob in the summer. Americans love corn. I wouldnt say they prefer wheat, its just a burger would be a a weird burger on a corn muffin bun. And cornmeal doesnt make great sandwich bread. Id say it (corn ) gets fairly equal billing though to wheat.

@TallDarkHung hush puppies are sort of liek biscuits but theyre fried. theyre very common in the south. corn muffins are usually for breakfast. never seen corn biscuits. cornbread or corn fritters yes.

@UndeadSona In my village is north India, corn is traditionally grown and eaten, but my family does not like it. They think its poor people's food. But how come thinking impact their palete? I don't know

@UndeadSona it is, in areas known for tasty food like Punjab. They love corn recipes. My state is not know for food. Most kids eat out if they have money because home cooked food is shit. Food and taste are not very celebrated where I am. they eat the same shit things everyday and blame the kids for eating Chinese, South Indian, Punjabi and cuisine from other states and nations

In the west corn is used to feed livestock . Wasn’t till 100 years ago we began eating it in cereals and such.

I am from India. I like vegetables from my farm and nearby farms. My family loves rice and what, but I protest because I like corn and millets.

@empanadas well here in my village, people historically ate more corn than wheat. It all changed when rice and wheat farmers got subsidies. Farmers switched to wheat and prices came down
